questa vista di londra mostra westminster dalla costa di lambeth . da sinistra a destra si può vedere l'abbazia di westminster , con una delle torri progettate da nicholas hawksmoor sotto l'impalcatura , westminster hall , e la torre di san Margaret's chiesa che sta pilotando lo standard reale . più a destra la sala banchetti è chiaramente visibile , così come il ponte di westminster appena completato , e in primo piano la chiatta della ironmongers company rema a valle accompagnata da un numero di imbarcazioni a remi più piccole . l'occasione qui rappresentata è la prova per il signore Mayor's Processione , una cerimonia annuale tenutasi a novembre in cui il sindaco appena eletto è stato remato a valle per giurare davanti ai baroni dello scacchiere a westminster hall . Il dipinto è firmato e datato in basso a sinistra su legni : s scott 1746 .
